Cards to Play Memory
After printing the cards, cut them out and mix them up.
Place them face down in a grid. Play the game of Memory using the cards.
Be sure your child is reading every word they turn over and not just looking to see if the letters are the same or different!

Trace It, Make It, Write It
Trace It, Make It, Write it allows your child to practice their spelling words by writing and using letter tiles.
First, they trace the word, then while pointing under the word and looking at it they should read it aloud.
Second, children should make the word using magnet letters and then read the word again while pointing and looking.
Last, children will write the word independently and then read it a third time while pointing and looking at the word.
To use this sheet multiple time, after printing it place it in a page protector and have your child use a dry erase marker.

Click on the buttons above to download our Word Family Posters. We use these posters in our classroom to practice our words.
While the posters contain most of the words from a word family, they do not always contain all of the words.
Some words were left off if they would be difficult to explain to first graders, aren't often used in first grade writing or were inappropriate.
